AP projects Hamilton as winner of the Senate election in Kansas

According to the projection, the Democrat defeats Senator Marshall, it would be the first Democratic Senate win in Kansas since 1932.

The news agency AP projects Democrat Adam Hamilton as the winner of the Senate election in Kansas. According to this projection, he prevails over Republican Senator Roger Marshall. This is reported by the Johnson County Post, citing the AP (accessed 6:15 CET). The report does not give the time of the projection. It is a projection, not an official final result.

According to the report, with 90 percent of precincts counted, Hamilton had 52 percent and Marshall 45 percent. The Libertarian David Graham had 3 percent. According to the report, Hamilton is the first Democrat since 1932 to win a Senate election in Kansas.

After Texas and Ohio, Kansas is the third of the seven key races with an AP projection. The seat has so far been in Republican hands. The calculation under Senate and the bars on election night still show the election-day forecasts.
